Thanks for joining me on this journey exploring distributed teams and remote/hybrid work. If you missed the inaugural email, you can still find it at deskanywhere.io:
I’m sure the format of this newsletter will evolve over time. For now, I’m going to alternate between sharing original pieces and resources I’ve found helpful. Here are a few things that caught my attention this week:
🏠 🧑💻 According to Pew Research Center, 35% of workers in remote-friendly jobs are working from home all of the time, compared with 43% in January 2022, 55% in October 2020, and just 7% before the pandemic.
📨 Marissa Goldberg writes a thoughtful, occasional newsletter related to remote work that helps you reflect on your current way of life and create actionable steps for a more intentional future. I’m a tad jealous of the great name, Remotely Interesting.
🇵🇹 Portugal-based Sergio Pereira recently wrote about 11 Remote Working Challenges and How to Tackle Them.
If you have a remote-friendly job, how often do you work from home? Click here to add your invoice in my little Desk Anywhere poll to see how we compare to the general stats.
